Company Holidays

Overview
Travelers observes holidays to provide you with paid time off (PTO). Local custom and location practice determine the specific holidays observed where you work. Before each new year, the company will determine and publish the holiday schedule. In general, the company will observe eight holidays each calendar year. In certain years, depending on when traditional holidays fall on the calendar, business needs must be taken into account when deciding whether to close the Company for an additional day or to provide employees with an extra "floating holiday".
In 2009, the company will observe seven holidays and employees will receive one extra "floating holiday" to use on another day of their choice. This extra day will be awarded the same as PTO at a rate of one-twelfth per month.
