Overview

myComp is a personalized Web site designed to help you understand and value your Total Compensation, Current Wealth Position and estimated future Wealth Position.

You have access to the site if you are a regular status employee. If you are a newly-hired employee, you will receive an email once your personalized site is available (generally 1-2 months after your start date).

You can access the myComp Web site from any Internet connection by visiting www.travelers.com/mycomp/. To create a user ID and password, click on "First Visit Account Setup" and follow the steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the difference between Total Compensation and Wealth Position?

  • Your Total Compensation is the value that Travelers provides to you on an annual basis. Your Total Compensation focuses on the current year, like a personal income statement.
  • Your Wealth Position represents the total of your accumulated balances in the Travelers plans. In other words, your Wealth Position includes your contributions, the Travelers contributions, and investment returns. This is similar to a personal balance sheet of your wealth accumulated at Travelers.

2. How often will the myComp site be updated to reflect the Travelers stock price, employee status changes, 401(k) balances, etc.?

  • The data is updated regularly to stay current. Specifically, the stock price and the 401(k) balances are updated daily, the benefits and salary information is updated each payday, stock grants and exercises are updated monthly, and the pension data is updated quarterly.

3. How do I know how to set reasonable assumptions?

  • We recognize that it is difficult to set the assumptions used to project your future wealth position. Keep in mind that there are no correct answers and that you can easily change the assumptions at any time. For additional guidance, please speak with your financial advisor.

4. How can I print pages from the Web site?

  • The best way to print multiple pages in your statement is to select "Print Menu" on the upper right of your screen and then select pages you wish to print. The site will open a browser and create a print file for you. Once it is complete, click on the browser's print button.
  • To print the page you are viewing, simply click on your browser’s print button.

5. Can I receive a hardcopy of the entire myComp site?

  • You can print out the pages that interest you by selecting "Print Menu" on the upper right of your screen. We will not be providing hardcopy statements.

6. Why does my co-worker's myComp site reflect information on certain benefits that are not reflected on mine?

  • Information on myComp is personalized and specific to every individual based on the compensation and benefits they receive. For example, if a co-worker elected to participate in the Financial Services Benefit offered through Merrill Lynch and you have not, your co-worker's statement will reflect that coverage whereas yours would not.

7. The information on my myComp site is very private. How secure is the Web site?

  • Your data is protected. We honor and respect the confidential nature of the information used to prepare these total compensation illustrations for you. We have collected and secured it using the highest industry standards. And, it is encrypted for confidential transmission to you. It will not be disclosed to outside parties for purposes unrelated to the material presented to you in this site, absent court order or subpoena.   
                                  
    Although we can not guarantee the security of your confidential information, we do take reasonable steps to protect your confidential information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or use. For example, we encrypt your confidential information when we transmit it to you over the Internet.

8. I think my data is wrong. What should I do?

  • Prepare a specific explanation of the data that you feel is incorrect. If possible, collect any documentation that will support your assertion. Then contact the Employee Service Unit (ESU) at 4-ESU@travelers.com or 800.441.4378. The ESU will help you or refer your question to the appropriate specialist area.
