This coverage, which is underwritten by Federal Insurance Company (CHUBB), provides additional personal excess liability insurance that extends beyond primary coverage that you already have on your home, auto, watercraft and recreational vehicles.

All benefit-eligible employees are eligible to purchase coverage under this plan.

Cost

You pay for the entire cost of the coverage you elect under this plan.

The following programs and resources may be useful to you as a participant in the Excess Liability plan.

  • Travelers Employee Insurance Program* - All employees of Travelers are eligible to participate in the Travelers Employee Insurance Program. The program provides competitive rates on auto and homeowners insurance directly from the company, plus the option of having your premiums conveniently deducted from your paycheck via payroll deduction or checking account.

How to Enroll

You can enroll in the Excess Liability Plan at any time by completing the Excess Liability Insurance Coverage Election Form* and submitting it to Marsh. Please note that a check for the amount due for the first calendar year's premium (as indicated on the election form) must be submitted with the completed election form. ** After the first calendar year, ongoing premiums will automatically be made via payroll deduction and your coverage will continue unless you elect to discontinue your coverage during Annual Benefits Enrollment.

Once you enroll in the Plan, you cannot change or discontinue your election amount outside of Annual Benefits Enrollment.
 
**During Annual Benefits Enrollment you can add coverage, increase or decrease your coverage amount or discontinue coverage. If you elect coverage during Annual Benefits Enrollment, you will pay your premiums via payroll deduction.
