Dependent Affirmation Program
 |
Travelers is committed to providing competitive health care benefits to you and your family while striving to keep premium rates affordable for everyone. Dependent eligibility data integrity is an important element when calculating medical and dental premiums. |
| In order to ensure that only eligible dependents are enrolled in the Company’s medical and dental plans, Travelers asks all benefit-eligible employees with dependents to complete the dependent affirmation process each year when they access the Benefits System during Annual Benefits Enrollment, when they add dependents through a qualified status change and when they enroll as a new employee. |
To review and affirm your dependents:
> Go to
HR Self Service*.
> Click on Dependent Affirmation in the Benefits Section under Employee Quick Links and review the information listed. Eligible dependents include:
- Your legal spouse
- Your domestic partner
- Your unmarried natural, adopted, foster, grand or stepchildren who are under age 19 or under age 25 if registered as a full-time student at an accredited or licensed education institution
> If the dependents you have listed are currently ineligible, you must remove them. Covering ineligible dependents is a violation of Company policy and may be subject to disciplinary action. To remove ineligible dependents, contact the Employee Services Unit (ESU) at
4-ESU@travelers.com or 800.441.4378.
For more information about benefit eligibility, please refer to the
