Continuing Coverage (COBRA)
COBRA is a federal law that permits you and your covered family members to continue coverage under medical, dental and vision benefits plans, as well as health care spending account plans for a limited period of time after you and/or your dependent(s) would otherwise lose coverage due to a qualifying event.
Qualifying events include your termination from employment, your reduction in hours below the benefit eligibility requirement of 20 hours, death, divorce, or a dependent’s loss of eligibility status.
